Many children love learning to code. Once students learn the basics of coding, they can use coding as a tool to practice skills or demonstrate knowledge in math, language, science and social studies. Several ways to use an app Scratch Jr., coding robots such as Wonder Workshop Dash, Bee-bots and Ozobots as well as unplugged activities will be demonstrated.
Participants will learn how to create easy unplugged activities that can be implemented in any curriculum area without any device. Games for coding robots such as Wonder Workshop Dash, Bee-bots and Ozobots can be easily created and are great ways to practice math and language skills. Coding does not have to just stay within a classroom; examples of collaboration beyond the classroom walls using coding will be also shared.
